Daggerwing Nature Center

At Daggerwing Nature Center, visitors are immersed in the world of the swamp area surrounding the center.  Visitors emerge into the exhibit at the Life Underground and proceed to move up through a representation of the natural environment via a gently sloped floor all the way to the top of the canopy, with exhibits including Seasonal Wet Environments, the Insect Zone, and the Conservation Station.

A highlight of the exhibit is the Life of the Bee.  Children can climb inside the 9′-tall bee sculpture to watch a video of the world from a bee’s point of view.  The interior viewing bench can accommodate 2-3 children and is wheelchair accessible.
