Creative Arts Unlimited Honored with 3rd AWI Award of Excellence - 3/23/2009

PINELLAS PARK, FL (March 23, 2009) – Creative Arts Unlimited, Inc. has been awarded its third Award of Excellence in four years from the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI).  This latest honor was awarded for work completed on the Hilton Dallas/Southlake Town Center in Southlake, Texas.  The Creative Arts team designed and fabricated interior elements for the lobby, café, meeting rooms, and Copeland’s Restaurant.  “The minor details in any element of a design pay off in the overall feel of the space…one misplaced light fixture could have made the difference between acceptable and exceptional,” said Designer, Josh Pearson.

This is the second AWI Award of Excellence for a Creative Arts project completed for hotel owners, Hobbs and Curry, FLP – the other, awarded in 2007, was for work completed on the Hilton Hotel in Carillon Park, St. Petersburg, Florida.  Creative Arts’ first AWI Award of Excellence honored The Bishop Planetarium lobby in Bradenton, Florida.  The Hilton Dallas/Southlake project will be featured in the AWI trade magazine, Design Solutions, in the Spring 2009 issue.

Creative Arts Unlimited has been designing and fabricating high-end, custom experiential interiors since 1992 for clients ranging from Mayo Clinic and FAO Schwartz to area libraries, museums and visitor centers.  Most of the elements used in Creative Arts’ projects are fabricated in its modern thirty-four thousand square-foot facility equipped with high-technology woodworking, metal fabrication, and acrylic forming machinery.  Images of this and other Creative Arts projects can be viewed by clicking here.
