Creative Arts Named A.I.A. Florida Builder of the Year - 6/28/2007

PINELLAS PARK, FL (June 28, 2007) - The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has chosen Tampa Bay design/build firm, Creative Arts Unlimited, Inc., as its 2007 Florida Builder of the Year. This prestigious award is presented to a company in the state of Florida that has exemplified a sincere and genuine interest in encouraging and affecting outstanding craftsmenship and workmanship in the performance of work on a specific project.

Creative Arts received the AIA Florida Builder of the Year Award based, primarily, on the design and fabrication of the Bishop Planetarium, located in Bradenton, Florida. Bishop Planetarium's unique interior features brushed steel orbital patterns inlaid into mahogany and anigre woods, as well as a domed, hand-painted ceiling mural based on a Hubbell telescope photograph. In 2006, Creative Arts was also honored with the Architectural Woodwork Institute's Award of Excellence for the Bishop Planetarium.

The 2007 Florida Builder of the Year award will be presented at the AIA Florida Annual Conference Saturday, July 14th in Orlando, Florida, and Creative Arts will be featured in the fall edition of Florida/Caribbean Architect magazine in recognition of the award.

Creative Arts Unlimited, Inc. has been designing custom and themed architectural and decorative products for clients nationwide since 1992.
