About Creative Arts Unlimited
For nearly 20 years, Creative Arts Unlimited, Inc. has designed, produced, and installed specialty environments for clients such as the Mayo Clinic, Disney, Nestlè, Hilton, and Toys ‘R Us as well as numerous schools, hospitals, libraries, and museums across the nation. Our A.I.A. and A.W.I. award winning facility contains the talent and equipment to articulate our clients’ identities through engaging environments. Creative Arts’ design team includes graphic designers, illustrators, an industrial designer, and an architectural designer with LEED accreditation.
Our 34,000 square foot fabrication facility, located only 15 minutes from the Tampa International Airport, includes an Architectural Woodwork Institute member woodshop with metal and acrylics fabrication capabilities as well as a comprehensive art studio staffed with trained sculptors, muralists, and fine artists. This collection of talent and capability enables our turnkey approach which saves you the money, time, and administrative headaches that come from dealing with multiple vendors.
Our Design & Fabrication Process
At the heart of all great exhibits is a story, a concept, or narrative to be experienced by the visitor. Creative Arts Unlimited’s design and fabrication teams present these stories in logical, visually-engaging ways. We begin by using a multi-stage design process including initial concepts, comprehensive renderings, and AutoCAD shop drawings. We work closely with our clients throughout the design process to exceed their expectations.
What is a “Spec Pack”?
Starting with site visits and architectural drawings, our design department will create preliminary concepts. From these early drawings, we begin to compile a booklet on the project which will eventually include all finishes, renderings, graphics, color specs, shop drawings, etc. This Spec Pack serves as your guide to the project throughout the process. Over the course of the job, our team works with you to revise designs, provide value-engineering options, and – with the help of our on-staff LEED AP – look for sustainable fabrication alternatives. At the end of the design process we can provide you with large presentation graphics, suitable for fundraising and marketing opportunities.
When everyone is satisfied with the final look of the project, the Spec Pack will be passed onto our fabrication team, who will work closely with the design team and build your exhibit. Having both the design and fabrication teams under one roof allows information to flow seamlessly between the two departments. What you see in the design phase is exactly what is built.
